PF+A Welcomes Maddy Adams

PF+A are proud to announce Maddy Adams as the latest member of our creative family in our Guernsey studio. Maddy follows a growing list of highly skilled, professional and passionate individuals who are strengthening PF+A every day, ensuring we are better than we were 6 months ago and in 6 months time we’ll be better than we are today.

Maddy was born in Guernsey and returns to the island she loves after studying architecture at the prestigious Manchester School of Architecture (notable alumni include Sir Norman Foster).

Maddy’s studies lead her to develop her personal position within architecture, and in a more general sense. Architecture should be socially responsible and contribute to placemaking in order to help communities thrive and be proud of the spaces around them. It should be inspired by the people it is for and challenge what we collectively know in order to create new places that have a positive and lasting impact on the built environment.

Maddy believes architecture should be aesthetically empathetic, that is to say,  architecture is part of our living world and should respond to and understand the feelings of others. It needs to give back.

PF+A’s CEO John Hibbs commented: "It’s an understanding of our world on this level that stands Maddy apart from her contemporaries. The ability to see things through the eyes of others and a strong belief that we’re all here to make a difference to the world and by working together we can improve everybody's lives. Couple that with a sharp mind, a can-do attitude and an intriguing Joie de vivre and she is amazing to be around and makes a considerable contribution to our family”.
