#MeetMeMonday with Ross Embury

It's time to learn a bit more about one of PF+A's Junior Architectural Assistants, Ross Embury.

Why do you love being a part of PF+A?

I love being a part of PF+A because everyone within the team puts a lot of passion into their work and take pride in every design they create, which is visible across all our projects. This is very inspiring to someone like myself who has just started their career within Architecture.

What ignited your passion to make a difference in the world and enhance people’s lives?

My previous job within Land Surveying ignited my passion to make a difference and enhance peoples lives. Every day I was seeing the client’s passion at the start of their own projects, as the survey would be one of the first things to do at any project. I wanted to seek a career where I could follow and assist the progress throughout projects, seeing that passion and emotion every day.

What personal attribute are you most proud of?

The personal attribute I am most proud of is my attention to detail, due to past experiences I've had to teach myself to become very methodical in any work I do and not missing important information.

Before starting at PF+A, what was your background and experience?

Before I started at PF+A my previous experience was within Land Surveying and as a result I have a lot of knowledge about topographical surveys, measured building surveys and a small amount within conveyance plans, whilst using a Total station.

What is your favourite place in the Channel Islands?

My favourite place within the Channel Islands is Bordeaux Harbour. It is somewhere I seem to gravitate towards on the island and have spent a lot of time since moving to the island in October 2021. It's got everything you could need - amazing areas to walk the dog, have swims, watch sunrises and spot the neighbouring islands and France.
