Pula's office in the exclusive St Martins village demonstrates what can be achieved with creative thinking.
The existing Natwest Bank building looked more like a farmhouse than a bank, had a number of unsightly extensions and comprised a rabbit warren of dark offices and circulation areas.
The main facade of the granite building was retained but the office space needed more light and space which encouraged collaboration. The solution was to remove the internal maze of corridors and the entire rear wall and bolt on a glass box. This provides three large work areas flooded with natural light and each connected via one central circulation space. High-quality materials were used throughout to tie the modern design to the traditional building.
